What is transcreation?

You can think of transcreation as a halfway house between translation and copywriting.

The word itself is a portmanteau of ‘translation’ and ‘creation’, reflecting an approach that focuses less on 1:1 translation and more on using engaging language to evoke the same emotions in the reader.
