How to work with me

You’d like to get your content translated into English and you’d like to find out if we could work together. Now what’s the next step?

• First, take a look at my translation package options or choose a single project translation. Then send me an email or fill in my contact form and tell me what you need or ask me any questions that you may have.

• I’ll get back to you promptly with more information and answers to your questions. If you’d like to have a short chat about your translation needs, I would be happy to arrange a free 20-minute consultation with you.

• You then email me your documents for translation and I’ll provide you with a non-binding quote.

• If you agree to go ahead with a translation service, I will let you know the date and time when you can expect to receive your English translation. If you choose a package option, I will give you a list of multiple delivery dates for your various projects.

• I’ll then get to work on your project and keep you up to speed on how it’s going. In case there are any unforeseen issues or delays, I’ll inform you right away.

• If I have any questions regarding your project (such as typos, errors, unknown acronyms), I’ll send you an email asking for clarification. This way, you can also make any necessary updates to your German content on your side.

• Once I’ve finished the translation stage, I’ll send you an email to update you.

• Next, I perform a quality check of your translation, going backing over every sentence of the German and English to make sure that everything is accurate and complete.

• Finally, I perform the proofreading step. This is a final read-through of the English content, checking for stylistic or logical inconsistencies, as well as punctuation or formatting issues.

• You now receive your finished English translation from me, which will be ready for immediate publication.
